Volunteer Work Weekend Nov 3rd to 5th 2017.
Families, alumni, supporters, volunteers and partners we are once again hosting a work weekend at Camp Nawakwa this Fall and you are all invited.
This weekend event is free of charge! In exchange for cozy, cabin accommodations, delicious camp meals, and the beauty of fall in the San Bernardino Mountains, help us to better serve youth.
Why not lend a hand?
Work projects are available for all skill levels. There will be camp fires, food fellowship, and activities too, like the Climbing Tower, Archery, Arts & Crafts Fishing, Nature Studies, Tomahawks and Canoeing. Child care is available during work project times, our staff will be running activities for the kids so bring the whole family!
Volunteers are a big part of what makes Camp Nawakwa so special. Many of our volunteers have a history with Camp Nawakwa and are driven to give back to camp in recognition of how meaningful their time at camp was as a camper, staff, or guest.
Registering for a Volunteer Work Weekend Cabin gets you a cabin that houses from 12 to 20 people, activities provided by camp staff for all kids 4 years and older, evening activities for the family to enjoy together, and all your meals at no charge. In return, you donate physical effort to improve camp during the day. Projects run 9am to noon and again from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday and then we work in the morning on Sunday 9am to noon. There are projects for all ages and ability levels. We try to add something new to camp each volunteer weekend. The big project this year is going converting lower camp back to being a summer camp once again.
For more information or to register contact our Community office 909-982-5400 or email Johnny at firstname.lastname@example.org. Help us connect people back to being outdoors again. We need your help to make that happen.
